Just got word from ISES that my award entry didn't make final nominations for the Star Awards. I kind of feel like a total dork. Why? Number 1. Everyone in the office that entered made the final cut. Number 2. It took forever to finish the application process and put together the event binder for submission.

Now that I think about it, there wasn't anything about the event that was "WOAH". Those 'woah' events are the ones that win...something needs to be unique, crazy, edgy, extravagant. Our event was cute, simple, fun. So, no dice.

I am glad I tried. Now that I know the process of applying, it's going to be easier for me to get the materials I need to create a successful entry from the beginning.
